Practical, experienced, global
We were brought together in Boston more than fifteen years ago by Harvard Business School professor Ramachandran “Jai” Jaikumar. Many of us are former masters and doctoral students, others colleagues and business associates inspired by his vision and enthusiasm. He shared himself with us and trained us in the context of many different projects over a long period. When he passed away about ten years ago he left the experiences and network he had shared with us, and he left MNI Partners, the worldwide business development company through which we continue to make available our diverse understanding and expertise. We continue today to employ his way of thinking and the many concepts and philosophies our mentor and founder originated while a professor at Harvard.
“Jai” Jaikumar was the Daewoo Professor of
Business Administration at Harvard Business
School. A devoted teacher and enthusiastic,
prolific, and rigorous researcher, Jai earned
the respect and admiration of colleagues and
students alike during sixteen years on the HBS
faculty. At various times an advisor to the
Office of Technology Assessment and U.S. Senate
Subcommittee on Science and Technology, he also
served on committees of the National Academy of
Engineering, U.S./Japan Manufacturing Research
Consortium, National Institute of Technology,
International Institute of Applied Systems
Analysis, and National Research Council. A
three-time winner of the Franz Edelman Prize for
Management. He was also an avid mountaineer.
